Hindu Tradition and Diwali

In Hindu tradition, Diwali holds deep religious significance, and its celebration is rooted in various myths and legends. Here are some key aspects that explain the significance of Diwali in Hindu tradition: Victory of Good Over Evil: The most widely known story associated with Diwali is the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating the demon king Ravana. Lord Rama, along with his wife Sita and loyal companion Lakshmana, spent fourteen years in exile. The day of their return is celebrated as Diwali, symbolizing the victory of dharma (righteousness) over adharma (unrighteousness) or good over evil. Worship of Goddess Lakshmi: Diwali is also associated with the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, and good fortune. It is believed that on the night of Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi visits homes that are clean and well-lit, bringing wealth and blessings to the inhabitants. Devotees perform Lakshmi Puja to seek her divine blessings. Celebration of Lord Krishna&
